BAI conducted geotechnical exploration at Priest Rapids Dam in support of required dam improvements. Fieldwork consisted of coring borings and video recording of production cored holes. BAI furnished, installed, maintained, monitored, and decommissioned temporary instrumentation consisting of wire piezometers, in-place inclinometers, survey monuments, flow meters, and an automated data acquisition system contributing to the dam improvements. BAI designed and installed an automated geotechnical instrumentation program including a robotic total station, slope inclinometers and vibrating wire piezometers to monitor slope deformations and groundwater levels during embankment construction. The automated data acquisition system (ADAS) designed and installed by BAI allowed for real time monitoring of the site that could be accessed by project personnel remotely.
