About the position
We are looking for a Construction Billing Administrator to help support our sales effort with invoicing, responding to clients’ requests, answering the company phone, and performing other administrative tasks. This position will work closely with the Construction Estimator and the accounting team here in our home office located in Spokane Valley, WA.
Duties include:
- Generate and send out invoices to clients.
- Review billing for accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere to contract billing requirements, including preparation of payment applications, lien releases, change orders, and other required documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service regarding billing inquiries.
- Produce regular work-in-progress updates for the construction department.
- Assist with ensuring that timesheets and daily field reports (DFRs) are turned in by field staff on time.
- Assist in answering the phone as needed and enter construction jobs into the schedule.
- Organize and maintain project-related documentation for easy access and reference.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Experience and qualifications required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting, billing, or finance type role. Construction industry experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business. Work experience will be counted as a substitute for education.
- Proficiency with accounting software. Unanet and Paylocity proficiency is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong math skills.
- Must be comfortable talking with clients & employees professionally and courteously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Works well independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to perform consistent work on a computer using Office 365 products.
- Pre-employment background check and drug and alcohol test.
- Valid driver’s license

Starting Wage: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
