A new paved road, approximately 7,200 feet long, was proposed to access the new Waste Management Adams County Landfill approximately 7 miles east of Washtucna, WA. The alignment was to connect the eastern edge of the landfill to Gray Road, an existing gravel road. The BAI team explored subsurface conditions in test pits, conducted dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) soundings, characterized encountered subsurface conditions, and conducted laboratory testing on representative soil samples. BAI staff prepared a report including conclusions and recommendations regarding earthwork and pavement section thickness.
