Avista Utilities needed to design and build a crane pad at the Long Lake Hydroelectric Development. The crane pad needed to support occasional large crane lifts during future maintenance work at the facility and hoist large loads from the parking lot area on to a rail car line leading into the powerhouse and directly into the tailrace. We recently completed geotechnical services, which included advancing test borings with our GeoProbe 8150 sonic drill.
