BAI was contracted to complete the installation of micropiles for the MDT 205 Bridge Street project in Bigfork, Montana. Acting as the primary subcontractor, BAI managed all aspects of the micropile installation and testing scope. Drillworks was engaged by BAI to provide a skilled drill operator and drill helper. The scope included mobilization, installation of a sacrificial test pile, verification testing, and installation of eighteen production micropiles to support Bent No. 2 of the bridge structure. Performance testing, cutoff adjustments, and hardware termination followed per design specifications.
Despite harsh winter conditions, the project was successfully executed through detailed coordination and technical precision. Operating in subfreezing temperatures required logistical planning and adaptability in the field. BAI’s team, in collaboration with Drillworks, upheld rigorous safety standards and installed all micropiles in accordance with project plans and specifications, overcoming significant environmental and operational challenges.
